Subject: Mono is better than nothing!
Far as I know, this is the only recording from that gig(unless the sound man ran one from the board). The other cat that taped this gig had his recording rig as well as the master tape from this gig stolen from his car the next day after recording(only taper there) the RRE acoustic gig @ Tower Records in SF. Best enjoy this one. BTW, was a GREAT gig!

Subject: How come it's a mono recording?
A great show, btw, and I'm still interested in hearing the recording, but I'm curious as to why it's recorded in mono (especially with such good mics). Any chance that someone can upload a stereo recording of this great show? I'll still download this (and maybe it doesn't really matter), but I'd be interested in why it's not stereo.

Thanks, though, for getting it up here.

Subject: Elko CD Release Party!
Great night at the Fillmore for RRE's CD release party for "Elko." These guys continue to raise the bar on themselves! It seems like every tour just gets better & better. Nice recording from Bay Area greats, "Monkey Tunes," led by Pete Gilmore. This is a solid audience recording in a tough room, nice work! Stellar versions of Goat, Warhead Boogie, Dance Around Molly > Dandelion Wine, & Head. Don't miss these guys in a town near you, they are special and are on fire!
